Meet Our Team
Dr. Danielle Dawisha
Dr. Danielle Dawisha received her Bachelor of Science (BS) from The University of Detroit Mercy and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. She has also received additional training in SureSmile.
Dr. Dawisha pursued a career in dentistry because she was a dental assistant prior to applying to dental school and knew what the field entailed; she enjoyed being at work and learning more about oral health!
Her favorite part about being a dentist is helping her patients, who are experiencing pain, feel more comfortable with their smile esthetically. She also enjoys dentistry because it allows her to give patients the confidence they need when it comes to their smiles. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry but she especially enjoys fillings, crowns/bridges and extractions.
Dr. Dawisha has been able to serve the underserved communities through mission trips in Las Terrenas and Puerto Plata, in the Dominican Republic, with the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
In her free time, Dr. Dawisha enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog, Cooper. She also likes to read books.
Dr. Gabrielle Mercieca
Dr. Gabrielle Mercieca received her Bachelor of Science (BS) from Hoftra University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, both located in New York.
Dr. Mercieca pursued a career in dentistry because she completed multiple mission trips across South America during her undergraduate studies and realized what a gift it is to help others and relieve them of pain all while giving patients their confidence back.
Her favorite part about being a general dentist is the relationships she gets to build with her patients everyday. Her favorite phrase is "treating all patients the way she would want her loved ones to be treated". Everyone who steps into her operatory is family to Dr. Mercieca.
In her free time, Dr. Mercieca enjoys spending time with her husband and her loved ones. She is always looking for a new adventure while navigating her new life in Michigan after a big move from New York.
